In an interview, Eddie Huang (chef, author, and public speaker) spoke of his first restaurant, where he served Taiwanese pork over rice. An American guest praised Huang for the food, but suggested it would be better "served over bread."
This installation is an exploration of culture and fusion through food, especially in the context of those who are mixed-race and identify with more than one culture.
I used recordings of the sounds produced while baking bread and cooking rice.
